Centre for Clinical Interventions
About Centre for Clinical Interventions
Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) is a specialist public mental health service in Northbridge, close to central Perth. Established in 1998, the centre provides focused outpatient care for people experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and eating disorders. Its services are designed primarily for Western Australian residents seeking structured psychological treatment rather than residential care. CCI follows a scientist-practitioner philosophy, bringing clinical research and day-to-day therapy together. Treatment programs are continually evaluated and refined, with cognitive behavioural therapy forming the foundation of much of the centre's work. Clinical psychologists help clients understand the patterns maintaining their difficulties and develop practical strategies that can be used beyond treatment. Care may be delivered through structured groups, private one-to-one counselling or family-based treatment. Programs include support for mood difficulties, social anxiety, panic attacks, worry and rumination, bipolar disorder and eating disorders. The approach is individualised where appropriate, while group courses offer a supportive environment in which participants can learn and practise new skills. The ground-floor clinic is within walking distance of Perth railway and bus services, with paid parking available nearby. As part of Western Australia's public mental health system, treatment is free for eligible clients, although a professional referral, clinical assessment and waiting period may apply.
