Hader Clinic Queensland
About Hader Clinic Queensland
Hader Clinic Queensland is a private drug and alcohol rehabilitation provider in the Gympie Region, approximately two hours north of Brisbane. Set on a secluded hinterland property, the centre offers a peaceful, nature-rich environment where adults can step away from everyday pressures and focus on building a stable foundation for recovery. Its continuum of care brings together medically supervised detoxification, intensive residential rehabilitation and structured aftercare. Residential programmes are available in 4-, 8- and 12-week formats, allowing treatment recommendations to reflect each person’s substance-use history, mental health needs and recovery goals. Treatment follows an evidence-based, abstinence-focused therapeutic community model. Individual counselling, group work, psychoeducation and relapse-prevention planning are complemented by family involvement, mindfulness, creative therapies, nutrition support and regular physical activity. Twelve-Step participation is incorporated into the programme but is presented as one part of a broader biopsychosocial approach. Residents receive support from medical, psychological, counselling, nursing and lived-experience professionals. Families can also access education and guidance, while eligible graduates may continue their recovery through transitional housing, outpatient services and online aftercare. The residential address is intentionally kept private to protect residents’ security and confidentiality.

Reviews from Guests
Real experiences from people who've been there.
I was there at Gympie, QLD 2020 and it was awful.....unless it was a 'class-time', any communication with staff was knocking on 'the window' at the office. The eye roll of staff after my first knock, put me in my right place. The accommodation was terrible. I don't mind basic...but the place was filthy, as was the mattress I had no choice but to sleep on . Three showers per floor of the women's block was a challenge. Expecting the 'residents' to clean the whole facility twice a week, and do all the cooking, clearing up, and washing-up, just took time away from real programs of recovery......I realised why the place was dirty. It was incredibly understaffed for the diversity of residents. The one and only After Hours staff member, was often overwhelmed. They gave residents of 30 plus days, certain privileges. Young kids coming off ice/meth....you name it. The whole experience reminded me of 'Lord of the Flies'. I've since been resident in another rehab, Myhab, in Melbourne, and the experience was so thankfully different....as is reflected in my recovery since.
The low star reviews are only there because some addicts don’t take their recovery seriously, I saw it first hand. Those of us who recovered don’t bother to complain about the grounds or rooms- it’s about getting better. If you’re serious about recovery and not stupid stuff in life, then go to Hader and commit to your treatment fully and you’ll get well. If you want a five star resort, don’t go to rehab then. Too many people whinging here and not enough trying their best to recover like I didn’t and some of my classmates did. Thanks Hader for what you do. I’m back on track now.
Please read because this place is being sued!!!!!!!! My brother just paid 40 thousand for rehabilitation where he had seizures due to negligence and no duty of care. Meant to have 24 hour doctor on call but couldn’t even get clean water when he begged for it. I’m actually so glad to have him home where he can at feel safe and able to call 000. Reporting to accc!
Odd that their website reviews are all five star (opposing unfiltered product review / google) their statistics of recovery are not true, and their customer service, once they've got their money is utterly horrible. At a time when it can be traumatic for family / friends, their support was non existent, and their communication poor. So very disappointing for what this costs.
