About Kembali Recovery Center
Kembali Recovery Center is an intimate residential addiction and mental health treatment centre near Ubud, Bali. Surrounded by tropical gardens and rice-field scenery, the family-founded centre offers a private, supportive setting where adults can step away from everyday pressures and concentrate on meaningful, sustainable change. Treatment combines evidence-based counselling with experiential, spiritual and holistic practices. Individual counselling, group therapy, relapse prevention, Twelve-Step facilitation and goal-oriented work are complemented by yoga, massage, sound therapy, art and outdoor activities. Personalised treatment planning helps the team address substance use alongside concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout and compulsive behaviours. Kembali's small residential community encourages trust, accountability and genuine connection between clients and staff. Many members of the team bring lived recovery experience to their work, while structured workshops help clients explore beliefs, emotional patterns, relationships and the underlying factors that can contribute to addiction or poor mental health. Private rooms, nutritious chef-prepared meals, a swimming pool, fitness facilities and regular Bali excursions create a comfortable but purposeful recovery experience. Continuing-care planning, follow-up contact and connections to support groups help clients prepare for life after residential treatment.

As a wife trying to get help for my husband to get into rehab wasn’t so easy in the northern rivers … having to wait for an opening was not an option. He needed help immediately after stumbling across Kembali we had a video call with Deb the owner. She immediately made us feel comfortable explained what to expect. The holistic approach to recovery felt made my husband almost excited about rehab. Deb helped organise visas and entry into Bali. Which was extremely helpful in a time of crisis. She was available to help me understand what was going on with my husband at each stage. At the end of the 4 week program I went to Kembali to met Deb the team and the new friends my husband had made. My husband felt safe and a place to feel vulnerable where he could open up about his shame, past trauma and truely heal. Being an addict will be a life long challenge but taking the first step at Kembali has changed his life… I thank all the team from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ My husband now has the will to live ! ❤️✨🌈🙏🥰
My name is Damian, a 28-year-old male from Australia, and I came to Kembali Recovery Centre in January 2026. I can honestly say that I love this place. It’s not just a rehab centre to me. It’s the place where I found myself again. When I arrived, I felt completely broken. I felt lost in my addiction, buried under grief, and disconnected from who I truly was. In my first week, I cried more than I had in years. It felt overwhelming at times but for the first time in a long time, I felt safe enough to let it out. And that safety is a credit to the incredible people who run this place. Deb and Clayton are two of the most genuine, compassionate, and professional people I’ve ever met. You can feel how much they care. This isn’t just a business and money to them, it’s their mission. The connect with you through like mindedness and genuine love and care for you. The counsellors and psychotherapists: Tom, Gareth, Teemu, Susan, and Nate all changed my life. What makes Kembali so special is that it is not a one-size-fits-all program. They tailor the recovery journey to each individual. For me personally, I was carrying a huge amount of grief. Grief that I had never properly faced. Grief that I had buried with alcohol. The team helped me gently but courageously get to the bottom of it. They gave me the space and tools to express it in ways that were truly healing. It’s a testament to these amazing people and professionals for how I feel now. Thank you guys 🩵 I had done therapy back home in Melbourne, but I was never able to access the depth of emotion that I reached at Kembali. Something about the environment, the structure, the daily work, and the unwavering support allowed me to release things I didn’t even know I was holding onto. They got it out of me in a way that never felt forced, just safe and supported. By the end of the 28 days, I felt like a completely different person. My personality came back. The light came back. My inner demons didn’t magically disappear, but they lost their power. They softened. I felt strong. I felt grounded. I felt indestructible in a healthy/calm way. Not in an ego-driven way, but in a deeply rooted, peaceful way. The program itself is incredible. Therapy and education five days a week, yoga five days a week, and supportive, structured weekends that keep you connected and engaged. The support staff of Wira, Raka, Ayu, Ricky, and Tria make every single day feel welcoming and safe. You are treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care. They’re also all so funny and make you enjoy your time even more. I miss all of these people!! Today, I’m over 50 days sober. I know recovery is one day at a time, but the foundation Kembali gave me makes me feel confident in my future. The tools, the emotional work, the education, the routines, it’s all something I carry with me daily. The focus on spirituality is also something truly special and helps me with my daily battles. I came in with not a spiritual bone in my body but after the practise and education provided on it, it’s now an integral part of my life to assist me with my recovery. I find that through this I have thought before action and when I’m not feeling well I can get through it comfortably. They didn’t just help me stop drinking. They helped me come home to myself. I will forever love and be grateful for Kembali Recovery Centre. They saved my life and I watched them save others while I was there. You could also notice the lasting impact they’ve had on other previous clients who still live here in Bali. If you are even slightly considering getting help, this place is truly something special. You will not regret it.
There is magic here. When I first arrived at Kembali, I was lost and completely at war with myself. I didn’t know who I was anymore, or how I could ever find peace again. But through the incredible support, compassion, and guidance I received, I slowly began to heal. I slowly started to heal and see the world and myself differently. This place helped me rediscover a beautiful perspective on life. It reminded me how to love myself again, to appreciate the little things, and to find beauty in everything that surrounds me. What truly makes Kembali so special is the people. Every single staff member radiates kindness, patience, and genuine care. When I first came, I was terrified that I would be judged for my past, but that fear disappeared almost instantly. I was met with nothing but understanding and acceptance. Here, I learned how to forgive, how to let go, and how to watch negative thoughts pass by without letting them take over. The therapists are each so beautifully unique, every one of them brings something special and deeply healing to the experience. Yet together, they complement each other perfectly. They create a balance that feels safe, supportive, and appreciated. You can feel that they truly want to see you grow, and that makes all the difference. I also loved how much Kembali focuses on healing both the mind and the body. That balance plays such a powerful role in recovery. The Wednesday massages, morning yoga, workouts, and Saturday outings around the island were all such gifts. They helped release tension, clear my mind, and reminded me how important it is to care for my body while nurturing my soul. The warmth and compassion that fill this place make it easy to open up, to grow, and to truly believe in yourself again. Because of Kembali, I’ve found peace within myself for the first time in so long. I’m leaving with gratitude, self-love, and a renewed sense of hope for the future. The owners Clay and Deb are truly extraordinary — so supportive, passionate, and wholeheartedly committed to your recovery and health. Their energy and devotion set the tone for everything that happens here. I honestly don’t know how to thank the staff enough for everything they’ve done for me ~ they have changed my life in ways I’ll carry with me forever. If you’re struggling and looking for a safe place that will truly help you heal (body, mind, and spirit) ~~ this is it
I came to Kembali a little over 2 months ago broken and desperate. I had tried rehab multiple times before in different treatment centres and I could not seem to stop drinking and using drugs. In truth, I wasn’t feeling overly optimistic about trying rehab again but I was met with something different at Kembali. I was totally lost and hopeless but the way I was looked after and the support and guidance I was given by every single member of staff was incredible. Kembali is more than just a rehab to me. The people who work there are incredible and I’ve learned so much from them and I feel hopeful about my future. The facility is beautiful and peaceful, the food is second to none and the program challenged the way I view myself and taught me self compassion. I am eternally grateful to Clay, Deb and the whole team, you guys saved my life, I’ve no doubt about that. Thankyou for everything!! Dan
