About Keystone Lodge

Keystone Lodge is a private residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Wainui, on the peaceful northern fringe of Auckland. Set across four acres of rural grounds, the light-filled, single-level lodge offers a restorative environment surrounded by farmland, subtropical planting and native birdlife. Orewa Beach and the amenities of the Hibiscus Coast are a short drive away. Treatment is personalised rather than one-size-fits-all, combining evidence-based care with holistic wellbeing and Twelve Step-informed recovery work. Guests may receive individual counselling, group therapy, family involvement and peer support, with treatment plans shaped around their substance-use history, emotional wellbeing and long-term goals. Detox support and residential care are available for adults affected by alcohol and a broad range of drugs. Daily life balances structured recovery work with opportunities to rebuild physical and emotional health. Fitness sessions, yoga, mindfulness, nutritious chef-prepared meals and time outdoors complement the clinical programme. Private rooms give guests space to rest and reflect, while shared groups, meals and meetings help create connection and accountability. Planning for life after residential treatment begins early in the programme. Keystone Lodge offers relapse-prevention planning and a structured 12-month aftercare pathway that can include regular check-ins, follow-up therapy and connections with community-based support. This continuity is designed to help each person carry practical recovery tools into home, work and family life.

Our whānau will be forever grateful to Keystone Lodge for all their support, care, and love. They went absolutely above and beyond and never once gave up on our son. All of the staff ‘live’ whanaungatanga, creating a beautiful sense of belonging where our son knew he was truly accepted in a safe space. Routine and ritual, beautiful environment, person-centred approach, and of course dedicated professional staff all came together to set up success for our boy. Their determination and effort to find a suitable and supportive transition place after the 30 day program was also amazing. It is so reassuring to have the aftercare journey in place for continued support. All in all, Keystone Lodge will hold a space dear to our hearts as an answered prayer. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the care and support provided by this rehab centre. From the moment my brother arrived, he was treated with compassion, dignity, and genuine understanding. The environment felt safe, welcoming, and truly focused on healing. The staff went above and beyond to support not only his recovery, but also his confidence and wellbeing. Seeing the transformation in him has been nothing short of amazing. He came out healthier, happier, and with a completely new outlook on life. Recovery is never easy, but this centre gave him the tools, encouragement, and support he needed to rebuild his life. We can’t thank the team enough for what they’ve done for our family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking real help and a caring environment.

My sister Emma went through Keystone and it has changed her and our lives for the better. She thrived there and took it all in for the 3 weeks that she stayed. It was peaceful, accommodating and the 12 steps programme really knew how to cater for her and her alcoholism. I know it now holds a very special place in her heart and is a daily reminder of the comfort and serenity it brings her.

I was taken to Keystone as a last chance for me. Their support and kindness was what I needed at this time. The model they worked within really hit home with me. I could say no bad word about this wonderful place. You saved my life and made me be accountable for my actions and I am now still sober and have my kids back full time and have built up the trust once lost within my family. Thank you to my fellow residents at the time and the staff you were all so amazing and made me feel at home.
