About Pindari House

Pindari House is a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre for adult men in Bedfordale, within the City of Armadale. Its structured programme supports residents in understanding the underlying drivers of addiction, changing harmful patterns and building a more stable, purposeful life. Treatment combines personalised counselling, group work, trauma-informed support, spiritual care, mindfulness and practical relapse-prevention skills. The Christian faith-informed framework encourages reflection, accountability and hope, although residents do not need to be Christian or convert to complete the programme. Care is tailored through ongoing assessment and individual case planning. Recovery at Pindari extends beyond therapy sessions. Residents develop everyday living skills, contribute to shared household responsibilities and participate in work therapy, exercise and preparation for employment or study. Family and relationship work may also help men repair supportive connections as they progress towards greater independence. The centre occupies a peaceful five-acre bushland property beside a national park, approximately 30 kilometres from central Perth. Shared residential living, mostly private bedrooms, fitness facilities and access to nature create a small, community-oriented setting where men can step away from familiar triggers and focus on lasting change.

I have been involved in Pindari as a volunteer since it began, and have seen many men go through some or all of the program. It has been very rewarding to see the changes in the lives of men who have spiralled into addiction, restoring their family relationships, transitioning back into the workforce, and much more. Recommended for men in addiction who are looking for a small christian-focused rehab.

So firstly I'll say I for the first time looked into Rehab at the age of 43 for mental unresolved issues, and a alcohol addiction...... I sadly wish I looked into other rehabs such as Palmerston and Serenity etc....prior to Pindari Upon my first time seeing Pindari for a assessment what I was told wasn't what was what I experienced on my first and last day wasn't what was made clear to me at all.... Especially the extremely limited contact you can have with the outside world, restrictions such as contact with loved ones family partner etc from phone calls and having visitors can be as long as 4 to 6 mths II found extremely distressing. they definitely leave you alot in the dark until you get their. Your not shown around the grounds or living situation until your their..... I sadly paid a week in advance prior to going to Next step for detox and I regret paying them because it was a total waste of $750, and I'm like quite a few on Centrelink..... I extremely in short unless you are someone that doesn't have kids or much of family ties and a partner to not recommend this rehab.... For example other rehabs let you have contact using your mobile to stay in touch with loved ones within a matter of a couple weeks and also visitors after a month, etc....Pindari is quite the opposite, I personally spoke to a fellow member their on my first and final day had been their 8 mths and still barely had much free time to have visitors or usage of his mobile phone..... All in all, before thinking of this rehab centre I'd highly recommend looking into other ones that are much more flexible with contact and visitors etc... For a Christian based Rehab I found it extremely wrong that they take your money, and on the first day not even offering a meal after leaving Detox just beyond words... Only good thing I can say which isn't much was I got a measily $50 back from the $750 I paid upfront and I was their 3 hours after leaving detox....... Highly do not recommend

I have been working in the Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation industry as a counsellor for over 10 years in many different rehabilitation centres. I can genuinely say that Pindari is one of the most caring, robust and intentional programs I have come accross. It is a small privately funded rehab that has fully trained staff including Pyschatrist, Counsellors, case wokers and hard working staff and volunteers. There are not many Rehabilitation centres that provide the personalised level of care and professional therapuetic services that Pindari does. Not unless you want to pay a premium fee for a private rehab. Pindari has a dedicated support base of wonderful people who fund its operation. These generous people make it possible for anyone to come if they are on centre link payments (it costs on average $1800 dollars a week for a person to do rehab). The program looks after its clients by helping them with all aspects of there life including relationships, career, training, community involvement, transition housing and providing ongoing support for as long as you need it. Clients recieve weekly counselling (between 40-50 sessions) and go through a curriculum that is based on peer reviewed research and evidence based practices. This is a great place to find freedom from life controlling issues. You might ask how I know all this? I am so impressed with the heart and dedication of the people who founded Pindari and their supporters I decided to come and work with them.

I was in the program for 2 years and it changed my life. I moved into transition housing which was all sorted out for me and a little while later graduated from the program. I also have an apprenticeship which came through while I was at Pindari, and about to go into my 3rd year. It was the hardest thing I ever did, but worth every part of it.

In short if your someone with no family ties or loves ones that depend on you or have contact with this rehab will possibly be right for you... Can take up to 4 to 8 mths for visits and usage of electronics like mobile phones or any other personal electrical devices and very strict and can be long term before access too them. Very little free time during there weekly program it's more focused on not only paying 80% of your Centrelink but also expect you to work every single day.... They're also very vague on assesment on disclosing all this and alot more. BE WARNED UNLIKE ALOT OF OTHER REHABS THEY DO NOT REFUND YOU THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF YOUR $750 DEPOSIT HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
