About Seahaven Private

Seahaven Private is a boutique drug and alcohol rehabilitation service in Melbourne’s south-eastern bayside suburbs. Founded in 2020, the centre offers residential and outpatient pathways for adults seeking structured, compassionate support for substance use, behavioural addictions and co-occurring mental health concerns. Treatment combines evidence-based clinical care with experiential therapies, practical education and family involvement. Individual counselling, group work, cognitive behavioural approaches, relapse-prevention planning and the Living in Balance curriculum help clients understand addictive patterns, strengthen coping skills and prepare for sustainable recovery. The small residential community allows for more individual attention while encouraging healthy peer connection. Residential clients stay at The Haven in nearby Seaford, a supervised seaside home close to beaches and coastal reserves, while outpatient and evening services are delivered through the Carrum centre. Recovery is supported through movement, creativity and time outdoors, with activities ranging from yoga and personal training to fishing, gardening and beach walks. Clients can also access ongoing aftercare, providing continued structure and connection after completing their primary programme.

The team at Seahaven show a true Passion for recovery and Desire to help every person they can. With staff having lived experience in addiction and years under their belt in recovery they are not only extremely knowledgeable but show you true compassion and empathy while you learn about addiction and ways to manage moving forward. They provide outstanding services not only while in their program but once you have left, including a weekly catch up of past and present members. Seahaven gave me more than just a start to my recovery and some knowledge. They gave me a new found desire for life and likeminded friends I will cherish forever. Could not more highly recommend. Thank you Seahaven

Years after my visit and I really cannot thank them enough. I had a short stint but it really was enough to restart my challenge. I have thought of going back for a refresher course. So I guess what I am saying is don’t be scared.. this place seems to give you a silent hug and a reason to live.. small steps.! Vinny I still have my Collingwood shirt and miss our beach chats.. The ladies in the office were what made it all feel ok and made my transition comfortable.. I’m actually sorry I had to leave early But can always go back.

Where do I begin?! I had hit rock bottom til my brother had found this place for me, if I hadn’t checked into Seahaven I was going towards jail or a cemetery. Seahaven isn't just the road to recovery, it’s a second chance at life and opportunities I never thought I would have. Their program works if you put in the effort to change for yourself. What they have to provide is amazing from education groups, meetings, daily activities, the live-in house by the beach and much more. For anyone battling those demons of addiction I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else but Seahaven🌊🙌😇
