About Sober Living Bali

Sober Living Bali is a small, co-ed recovery residence in Ungasan on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula. Designed primarily for people moving on from residential rehabilitation, it provides a substance-free home where residents can strengthen their sobriety while gradually returning to everyday responsibilities. Private bedrooms, peer connection and ongoing staff support create a comfortable setting for this transitional stage of recovery. The programme combines Twelve-Step principles with a holistic, wellness-led philosophy. Group support, relapse-prevention counselling, mindfulness, meditation and yoga help residents develop practical recovery routines. Depending on the selected support plan, residents may also receive individual sessions with a recovery counsellor, sober coaching, life planning and help establishing healthier social networks. Rather than isolating residents from daily life, Sober Living Bali encourages active participation in the surrounding community. Residents can attend local AA or NA meetings, explore education or vocational goals and discover constructive hobbies. Weekly house check-ins add accountability while allowing each person to practise independence in a supported environment. Bali’s beaches, walking routes and tropical landscapes play an important role in the experience. Surfing, swimming, hiking, fitness classes, golf, creative activities and group excursions offer enjoyable ways to rebuild confidence and establish a rewarding sober lifestyle. Sober Living Bali is not a medical detox or inpatient rehabilitation centre, so prospective residents should discuss their stability and care needs with the admissions team before travelling.

I've known Jon Shilling for several years now. He and his staff at Sober Living Bali are of the highest standards both spiritually and competency wise. Jon has the greatest energy to be around and is a high vibrating human being who expects nothing less from his colleagues . Highly recommended by me and many others.
