10 years ago i was lucky to meet alice at the light house . Alice and her crew were starting out , in sanur . But had the focus on well being, the care offered , and the experance off being in bali. I remember my first day with alice, after a last hoora in a bar in kuta !! It was time to give this a go . With in 5 miniutes alice made me feel its ok to be messed up , struggling with adiction . Their was no judgment, Alice and her crew , gave me the tools in a very professional way , and gided me through their ways . Now with 10 years under my belt off being sober, im so greatfull what the light house did for me. It works !!

I had done 2 group rehabs before going to the Lighthouse - neither of which worked. I came to the Lighthouse after experiencing the horrors of an Australian run group rehab in Bali which left me feeling suicidal and hopeless. The Lighthouse treated me like the adult that I am and taught me how to live without drugs. I had hope for the first time after leaving The Lighthouse. Alice is both professional and friendly - a fantastic person who saw me for who I was behind the addiction. It was the first time I had experienced treatment without the tough love approach, which never worked for me. I detoxed in a supportive environment with caring and helpful staff. The Lighthouse Bali saved my son from self-destruction & gave him hope for the future. He believed he had his life under control, as addicts do, but he was sinking further into a drug & alcohol fueled abyss. It took his behavior hiting rock-bottom, & his partner on the verge of leaving, for him to acknowledge he needed help. We researched rehab centres in Australia & other centres in Bali but felt they were too restrictive & the one size fits all didn't recognise the individual behind the addiction. Thankfully we found the Lighthouse & made the call to Alice. She gave us encouragement & found a place immediately. Each client is treated as an individual with one on one sessions & a program tailored to suit their own unique needs. Group therapy would not have worked as he would not have opened up about his problems in front of others.The ability to contact family & be in touch was a blessing as he kept his identity & was not isolated. Going to Bali for rehab was our best decision rather than staying in Australia where toxic friends & influences would have made the process harder & likely to fail. The staff are super supportive & encourage fellowship & spirituality along with counselling & the tools to overcome addiction. They also encourage family counselling & this was life changing for him & his partner, Without it they would not have survived as a couple. He has made life long friends of Alice & Danu & all the carers, counsellors & fellowship members. I urge any parent seeking Rehab for their child to contact The Lighthouse Bali. Thanks to The Lighthouse we have back the man our son was before he sank into this insidious addiction. It has been worth every sacrifice & we would do it all again, though that won't be necessary as the program works! Thank heavens we found the The Lighthouse.Our heartfelt thanks, you have changed the life of my son. He is living a happy & sober life in recovery & feels like he has a purpose in life.
