The Reset Bali
About The Reset Bali
The Reset Bali is an intimate residential mental health and wellness retreat in Sanur, set within a peaceful part of Bali near the coast. With space for only two to five guests, the centre offers a private, supportive atmosphere for adults, adolescents, couples and professionals seeking time away from stress, burnout, trauma or emotional difficulties. Its personalised programme brings together evidence-based Western therapy and holistic Eastern practices. Individual counselling, group work, cognitive behavioural approaches and psychoeducation may be combined with hypnotherapy, mindfulness, somatic practices, massage, yoga, nutrition support and physical coaching. Each schedule is shaped around the guest's needs, goals and physical capacity rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all plan. The experience balances focused therapeutic work with movement, relaxation and restorative time. Guests can take part in fitness sessions, boxing, swimming, beach walks and island excursions while staying in private, air-conditioned accommodation with access to a pool, gardens, nourishing meals and wellness facilities. The Reset Bali primarily serves people seeking structured mental health recovery rather than medical detoxification or active addiction treatment. People with a history of substance use are expected to have established sobriety before arrival, making the retreat potentially suitable as a supportive next step after completing primary addiction care.

Real experiences from people who've been there.
I had such a special experience at The Reset Bali. The therapy program felt incredibly personal, supportive, and genuinely healing. What I loved most was the warm, informal atmosphere — it truly felt like a home away from home instead of a clinical retreat. The somatic program was also incredible, especially the breathwork sessions with Gus and assisted stretching, which helped me feel relaxed and energised at the same time. The food was amazing too, all fresh and locally sourced, and the juices were unreal (especially the dragonfruit juice — I’m still thinking about it 😄). Beautiful people, beautiful environment, and a place where you can really reconnect with yourself. Highly recommend.
Great digital detox for teenagers We spent easter spring break at The Reset Bali with my teenage daughter and niece, and it proved to be a very good decision. From the outset, the program felt well designed for young people. The structure, activities, and overall environment were consistently well executed. What stood out most was the team. The therapists have a natural way with teenagers—calm, attentive, and able to meet them on their level without forcing engagement. The digital detox element was particularly valuable. Stepping away from screens helped them become more present and engaged almost immediately. It was noticeable how quickly they settled into a healthier routine. We found ourselves wishing there were comparable programs available in Hong Kong and Mongolia. I would recommend this for teenagers and young adults without hesitation, and we are seriously considering returning for the adolescent summer program.
I arrived at The Reset during one of the lowest and most challenging periods of my life, completely burnt out and close to giving up. I was hesitant to commit mainly for financial reasons and spent a long time searching for a cheaper alternative. But no matter how much I researched, through Google or ChatGPT, I kept being led back to The Reset. Eventually, I took the leap, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. No matter where you’re at in life, if you’re considering a retreat and feel that same calling, you won’t be disappointed. Jenny, Putri, Marleen, and the entire team were exceptional, and the structure of the program was incredibly well thought out. I arrived feeling like there was no way back from the place I was in, but from day one I felt welcomed and safe. The daily progression was surreal. I left the program in the strongest place I’ve ever been, both mentally and physically. Now, I need to address the elephant in the room: the one star review from Blake. He was on the retreat at the same time as me funilly enough, and his review is wildly misleading. From the moment he arrived, he carried a toxic victim mentality, complained constantly, and showed a complete lack of respect for both the staff and the process. His behavior toward the team was embarrassing to witness, and his attitude dragged down group energy more than once. Nothing about his conduct suggested someone genuinely committed to personal growth. Based on what I personally observed every single day, his review says far more about him than it does about The Reset. It absolutely does not reflect the professionalism, care, or integrity of the program or its staff. End of the day, no one is going to do this for you, but you and Blake just wasn’t willing to do the work plain and simple.
Taking time away from the corporate world and spending it at The Reset Bali was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It gave me the space to slow down, recharge and rest. The combination of therapy, healing modalities, nature, movement, and the calm Bali environment was what I needed. The atmosphere feels warm, personal, and very genuine — not clinical or forced. If you’re feeling burnt out, disconnected, or simply need space to reset and breathe again, this place is incredibly special.
